OpenCactus is an iPhone app for following and backing traders. This page explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your sign-in. When you continue with Apple or Google, that service gives the app an account ID and, depending on the service and what you allow, your name and email address. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email.
- Your profile. The handle, avatar and markets you choose during setup.
- What you do in the app. The traders you follow, the calls you make and tail, your positions and trades, and the likes and comments you make.
Where it's stored
In the current beta version of OpenCactus, all of this stays on your iPhone. Balances are play money, and your profile, positions and calls are saved in the app's own storage on your device. We'll update this page before any account data is stored on our servers.
Market data
To show live prices, the app requests public price data from CoinGecko and Hyperliquid. Those requests don't include your name, email or account.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell your data.
Your choices
Signing out from the You tab removes your profile, play-money balance, positions and calls from your device. You can also revoke OpenCactus's access in your Apple ID or Google account settings.
